Perpetual license for the right to use Windows Server Datacenter 2022 with the right to use previous versions.

The number of licenses you need to purchase is counted by the number of cores, not processors.
Each server must be licensed for at least 16 cores.
Each physical processor must be licensed for a minimum of 8 cores.
Licenses are supplied in sets of 2 cores.
You must purchase at least 8 sets of 2-core licenses for each physical server. The cost of a two-core license is 1/8 of the cost of a two-processor license for the corresponding edition of Windows Server 2022.
