After nearly two years of painstaking work, designer Edmund McMillen and programmer Tommy Refenes are holding their breath in anticipation of the release of their first major Xbox game, Super Meat Boy, about the adventures of a skinless boy searching for his girlfriend, made of bandages. Phil Fish unveils his long-awaited project, FEZ, four years in development, at PAX. Jonathan Blow is considering making a new game after completing Braid, one of the most highly acclaimed games of all time.
The film debut of Lisanne Pageau and James Swirsky follows the emotional journey of these developers, who sacrifice their hard-earned money, health, and sanity to realize their life´s dream and share their game with the world. Four developers, three projects, one goal—to express themselves through a video game.
