Garbage, garbage and more garbage. Life on the small planet Deponia is not a bed of roses. It is no wonder that Rufus is fed up with this life and makes one ridiculous plan after another, hoping to escape from this gloomy place. During one of his attempts to escape from Deponia, Rufus meets Goal and falls madly in love with this beautiful girl from Elysium. He accidentally throws her off the comfortable cruiser, and she ends up on a dismal dump planet. But this accident gives birth to a new plan in his head: he needs to help Goal return to the floating city of Elysium, and to do this, he will have to play the role of her nasty fiancé Clytus, who for some unknown reason is the spitting image of Rufus. And so begins their incredible adventure...
