Lead Byzantium to greatness in this major expansion for Crusader Kings III. The political and cultural peculiarities of Byzantium will manifest themselves in a new system of governance, social hierarchy, and character occupations. Or become an adventurer without a stake or court, thirsting for recognition.
• Administrative Management: Experience the Middle Ages without feudalism. Officials scheme, trying to secure cushy positions. Sometimes they are rewarded for their services, sometimes for treachery. Only an experienced emperor will keep the factions in check.
• Estate: Manage the seat of your family´s power (even if you have nothing else). Construct buildings to increase your power.
• Influence System: Promote and grow your character in the eyes of the emperor. Start as a landless nobleman, lead a province, and then fight for the purple.
• Life as an Adventure: Wander without a home, following the winds of fortune. Participate in adventures as a landless adventurer. Accumulate reputation, gold, prestige, and glory. Travel until you decide to settle down and claim the land.
• Choose a Successor or Caesar: Determine the country´s path by choosing an heir—a crowned head, a noble, a hero... or a co-ruler if the burden of power is great.
• Byzantine-themed content: events and monuments, including chariot races.
• Appearance: Byzantine interface and court fashion, 2D illustrations of chariot races, monuments from the Byzantine and Roman worlds, new map designs, a throne room, Orthodox chants, and more.
