The Kostroma Museum-Reserve holds a unique collection of leaflets from the October Revolution and the Civil War. This catalog describes 186 leaflets. The catalog consists of two parts. The first, consisting of two sections, describes leaflets from the period leading up to and during the October Revolution and the consolidation of Soviet power (March 1917–June 1918).
The second part includes leaflets from the Civil War period. They also comprise two sections. The first section describes leaflets describing the creation of the Red Army and the struggle against intervention and internal counterrevolution. The leaflets in the second section reveal the work carried out by the party organization, the Soviets, and the military bodies of the city and province to provide assistance to the families of Red Army soldiers, as well as the transformations in the economic and social sphere of the country and the Kostroma region.
